“My art is a combination of design and color, design provides the composition while color provides the feel. My mediums are oil and pastel. I hold an MFA and am a master papermaker having worked in sculptural paper castings. As my art grew I had the need to express myself with color and the paper castings did not lend itself to this move. Oil painting became my medium of choice.”

“I paint on both canvas and paper. Large oil paintings, abstracted cityscapes, are on canvas while Illinois landscapes can be on paper in either oil or pastel. The abstract paper pieces show a true joy of color. I like to use unusual color combinations never just greens in my landscapes to give an impressionistic feel to the piece. I try to interpret our Illinois landscapes with a bit of a twist.”
