October National is a celebration of originality and craftsmanship in any visual art medium. Artists are invited to share in this annual exhibition staged in the Madden Arts Center, Anne Lloyd Gallery in Decatur, Illinois.
For the past few years Race for the Cure and now Come Together Be Empowered have partnered with us. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Open to all artists 18 years old and over. Entries must be of original design. Work must be executed within the last two years.
All media accepted. Wall-hung or 2D artwork must be wired, ready to hang, and not exceed 60 inches wide or 96 inches high. 3D artwork must be self-standing or fit on a 36x36in. pedestal. All artwork must be able to be handled by one person. No work can be suspended from the ceiling. Any accessories needed for display must be included. Pedestals provided by the gallery. The gallery reserves the right to install accepted works in a manner deemed necessary for exhibition and/or security reasons.

Entry Procedures & Fees
Artwork juried by slides, photographs, or jpeg CD $30 for up to 3 slides/photos/files. Slides/photos/files of accepted work will become part of the Gallery’s permanent collection.
- Name, address, telephone & email
- Slides/photos/CD labeled with artist’s name, dimensions of work, and an entry number
- Oct Nat Prospect Brochure (pdf). You may use additional paper for a description if necessary.
- Submissions also taken through www.callforentry.org
- Signed General Release
- #10 SASE (Self-addressed Stamped Envelope) for notification and return of slides, etc. if necessary.
- Entry fee payable to Gallery 510 ($30)
A 50% commission will be taken on work sold.
Artwork does not need to be for sale.
Accepted work may be hand delivered or shipped. Artwork is due at IL Art Gallery by September 22, 2018. Hand-delivered work accepted during IL Art Gallery regular open hours. Tues thru Fri 11-5 and Saturday 11-3.
Please attach identification label to the back of the work. List artist’s name, title of work and medium.
Enclose return delivery FedEx / UPS prepaid shipping label or regular shipping address label and check along with instructions for repacking. No loose packing materials please, i.e. peanuts, etc. unless they are enclosed in a bag. Crates must be simple to open and reseal. Indicate value for return shipping insurance if not waived.
IL Art Gallery reserves the right to reject any work not conforming to the photograph/CD.
July 7, 2018: Postmarked deadline for application
August 3: Notification letters mailed
September 22: Artwork due at IL Art Gallery by 3pm
October 5: Opening reception, Madden Arts Center, Anne Lloyd Gallery
October 27: Exhibit Closes
October 30: Hand-delivered work pick-up between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tues – Fri. or 11 – 3 on Sat. at IL Art Gallery, 160 E. Main St., Decatur
November 14: Shipped work returned
