Carol Kessler is an artist from Shelbyville, IL. She works primarily with oil sticks on canvas, though she also works with pastel on paper. Her style is loosely impressionistic. Sue has been in the art profession for over 50 years and has more than 38 years of teaching experience. After winning her first blue ribbon in first grade at the White County Fair, she has never stopped producing art. Travel, another great passion, on 6 of the 7 continents has provided a great wealth of painting source material. Sue lives in Moweaqua, IL and enjoys the calm and peaceful nature and the sense of space in rural America. She is currently doing a series of scenes from rural America, one from each of the 50 states.
Sue paints in watercolor, oil, acrylics, and pastels. Most of her latest paintings are in pastel with a watercolor underpainting, Her style is realistic with a love of color and detail.
