Tina Sekimi lives in Decatur, IL and enjoys creating unique pieces of jewelry using polished stones, fused glass and found objects. Her work is identified primarily as wrapped stones in silver or copper. She uses a technique called Viking Knit to create her own chains for some of the pieces. Some new work includes dismantling old pieces and re-assembling them into new.
Barbara Hodges is a jeweler from Decatur, IL. She has been making jewelry since 2008. Barbara is a precious metal clay artist. She works with fine silver, bronze, copper, gold bronze, rose bronze, and snow bronze. Many of her pieces incorporate gemstones as well. She also makes jewelry with bead weaving, which is the stitching of intricate patterns with beads. Her jewelry shows a dedication to meticulous work.
Barbara Hodges teaches metal clay classes in several Central Illinois bead shops, and is currently scheduled to teach a Workshop at Gallery 510 on November 12, 2016.
